February 10, 2020 – Apocalypse is a favorite Hollywood genre, but the best of the movies have missed out on the real ‘end of the world’ material of the type seen in the fiction series, ‘The End: The Book: The Series’. Author JL Robb is just out with the seventh and final book in the series, ‘The Ninth of AV’, which goes beyond anything the reader may have seen so far in theatres.
‘The End: The Book: The Ninth of AV’ is the final installment in the series and follows the adventures of Jeffrey Ross and his fellow senior citizens and ex-military friends. The first edition set the context of Islamists taking over the Bible Belt, and Atlanta receiving the first nuclear attack on the US soil. To compound matters, there is the CDC robbery that releases the Spanish flu virus and a hijacked nuclear submarine heading towards the US.
“The Ninth of AV” carries forward this creative and titillating tale, and the reader witnesses the earth with only 3 billion people left after a series of plagues, famines, asteroid strikes and more calamities following one another. It seems as if the Bible’s depiction of the end of days is almost here. The action now centers around Israel, surrounded by old foes, and international armies gathered around the Mediterranean. Will the Almighty save Israel once again?
“This series first started out as ‘sold by the chapter’, but soon turned into a fascinating undertaking which I couldn’t stop thinking about or writing,“ says Robb.
‘The End: The Book’ goes beyond special effects, and also weaves in enough love and romance to keep the reader’s interest. The takeaway: what would the reader do if he or she found out the end of the world was near and couldn’t be avoided?
Author J.L. Robb is a monthly columnist for the Wisconsin Christian News. He was influenced by a Bible reading and a man named Hal Lindsey in the 1980s that convinced him of the reality of God. After an intense study of the Old and New Testaments and the Quran, Robb considers the Biblical end of the world to be nearer than ever.
Excerpt from The End: The Book: Part One: “And then The End Will Come”
“Not a cloud in the blue Atlanta sky, Jeffrey Ross made his morning visit to the Dunwoody Starbucks, expecting this day to be like any other. It wouldn’t. Samarra Russell left her meeting at Emory Medical Center after receiving the strange call and wondered if it had anything to do with her Spanish Flu immunology research at CDC. It was a secret, or was supposed to be. Going home as instructed, Samarra opened the box of Valentine candy on the kitchen counter and collapsed. Before losing her balance, Samarra recognized the small finger, severed and still wearing the tiny ring she gave him for his 7th birthday. Her precious son.”
She read the note from Jihad’s Warriors:
If you do not want to receive young Thomas Russell’s head in a box, you will do as instructed.
And she did.
