What is LAOL Scale Doctor?
The LAOL Scale Doctor does not generate wastewater from back-washing as water activation is done through ionization rather than reverse osmosis or ion exchange. Also, it acts as a cleaning agent, which reduces the amount of blowdown wastewater from boiler feed water management. Therefore, it makes it easier to reuse water and gather attention worldwide as the risks of violating environmental laws and regulations are reduced during the time of ESG management.
The research team from Yonsei University said that the LAOL Scale Doctor is found to have a nano-flower shape of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) according to the result of photography showing the microstructure of the blowdown materials generated from a boiler using LAOL Scale Doctor. It causes scale depending on the type and shape of CaCO3 inside a boiler. It is found that when the crystal structure of CaCO3 is shaped like a cube (Calcite), it causes scale due to its strong adhesive strength. If it is shaped like a rod (Aragonite) or a nano-flower (Vaterite), it fails to cause scale due to its weak adhesive strength. The results show that the LAOL Scale Doctor helps change the CaCO3 crystal structure to a nano-flower, preventing scale.
