HORROR CITY RECORDS SET TO TAKE THE MUSIC WORLD BY STORM WITH THREE NEW RECORDS IN 2019

The music industry is a dynamic one. Not just due to its delivery without notice of unique and unfounded talents to dazzle the world, but also because coming up to the limelight from the underground is not in any way easy. Whether its hip-hop, reggae or pop, it takes a sublime mixture of creativity and talent to make phenomenal records.

One such label that managed to enchant the music industry in the 80’s – particularly in Hip-Hop – is Horror City Records. Bursting into the music scene back in 1986 with “Clap Your Hands”, Horror City Records established their intention to become a force to be reckoned with. The top-notch record label was very instrumental in discovering an outstanding array of dope MC’s from Long Island.

The last time the record label dropped an album was back in 2010 with the super-ill horror city crew which was produced by Prince Paul in liaison with Chopped Herring Records. The album was made up of 1995 demos and was later renamed “A Prince Among Thieves”, selling thousands of copies in the States. Horror city front man ‘Superstar’ who has continually been featured on all horror city music projects right from the first release has continued to prove himself as a force to be reckoned with in the hip-hop game. The label plans to showcase his outstanding talent alongside some other dope MC’s on the projects.

However, Horror Records has keyed into the digital wave of the 21st-century dynamic rap style and has three sick albums in the pipeline scheduled to drop in February 2019. From the creativity to the adaptivity, these new albums are set to make heads bob for a long time!

The first of the trio is 6th Boro; this dynamic album is a follow up to the single ‘Change The Game’ which was released on Chopped Herring Records back in 2017 featuring top-notch MC ‘Superstar’. The album is a concept album patterned in a hip-hop documentary type format. The album is scheduled to drop on February 14th, 2019.

The second project is a digital album produced by Roy Wallace. This jam-filled album has a tracklist of dope DJ-ing hits produced by Wallace himself and also features other upcoming producers that have been tested and trusted. The uniqueness of this album comes from its pattern where it takes you all the way from the beginning of hip-hop to jams in modern day hip-hop.

The third album on the cards is an exciting jazz hip-hop album titled; Supa Vill’ns. Produced by DJ Parental, this rare piece of musical genius is an amazing fusion of the rudiments of jazz music with the high style of hip-hop to produce a never-before-heard kind of sound.

Horror City Records, with the release of these dope albums, is set to resurface on the hip-hop scene in the 21st century. A major feature of the record label is its promotion of Long Island MC’s, giving them an opportunity to show the world a new style of music.

In a bid to join the latest trend of digital music, the record label has distributed its music and made it readily available on all music streaming platforms such as Spotify, iTunes, Tidal, and SoundCloud. All Horror City music will also be available in CDs as well as vinyl format.
