Charity Alliance Network Presents Two More $1,000 Checks to Local Charities

October 12, 2020 – The team at Charity Alliance Network is pleased to announce that two checks worth $1,000 each have been issued to local charities. This has been made possible by the Mini Duck Race 2020, a successful fundraiser event held in September at the Splash Zone of James Island County Park.

Currently, a significant portion of the population in the United States is plagued by homelessness, underprivileged children, orphans, women suffering from domestic violence, and poverty. With donations raised from fun events, organizations like Charity Alliance Network are doing their best to bring respite to victims. Events such as the annual Mini Duck Race 2020 are used to entertain the locales, especially keen donors. Philanthropic donors also get the recognition that they deserve at this events. The first charity to receive a cheque of $1000 in this year’s event was Low Country Orphan Relief, an organization that works for underprivileged children and orphans. Two more checks of $1000.00 were sent out to the following charities: My Sisters House and Halos. My Sister’s House works with women and children impacted by domestic violence and assault while Halos works with abused and neglected children in Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester Counties to help improve their lives.

Speaking on behalf of My Sisters House, Director of Development Ashley Player said:

“Charity Alliance Network has a truly amazing program that will provide vital support for My Sister’s House. Much of our financial aid comes through grants we apply for. My Sister’s House is now facing a substantial need to increase our fundraising efforts to keep up with the unfortunate increase of cases here in Charleston and the surrounding areas. With this partnership My Sister’s House can concentrate on supporting our local victims of domestic violence while Charity Alliance Network continues to bring awareness and financial support to our mission through their community events and outreach programs.”

Charity Alliance Network is a 501c3 charity organization that supports local charities improve the lives of women, children and the homeless in the county. It aims to accomplish its mission through charitable events, creating awareness, generating funds and outreach programs to impact the community positively. Speaking to reporters about the donation to My Sisters House and Halos, CAN director Brian Pulaski said 

“During these hard times due to Covid-19, we are very thankful for the amazing support and generosity from the local donors and the community that participated in our Mini Duck Race. We are looking forward to building relationships as we continue to raise awareness and support for our local non-profits and the great work that they do.”
