Buffalo, New York, USA – November 30, 2020 – “Reclaim Your Visibility: A Straightforward Guide for Black Fathers to Improve Themselves and Their Relationships with Their Children” by Dr. Carl Stokes Jr. Stokes is set to be published on December 1, 2020, in eBook, paperback, and audio. Stokes is an award-winning social worker, educator, and speaker living in the scenic Buffalo, New York, with his family. “Reclaim Your Visibility” is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

Stokes told Dr. Melissa Caudle, bestselling author and media influencer that he became a dad in high school and did not have guidance from my father or the one before him. Admittedly, he made a lot of mistakes and was in a dark place for a long time. Stokes says, “I have since made a comeback to an emotionally healthy life where being a good father is a priority.” His goal in writing his book was because he wanted to help Black families, especially to help other Black men be better fathers to their children.

About the Author

Carl Stokes Jr. works as a college instructor and recently received his Doctorate in Education. His dissertation focuses on Black males and their perseverance in community colleges. Stokes is passionate about working to uplift the Black community. He especially loves mentoring young Black fathers and helping them see their full potential. He also enjoys teaching parenting classes for a small non-profit organization. On a day off, you might find Carl biking with his wife and daughters… or teaching his pet bird Mango a new word.
