The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Zekri Palushi, MBBS, MD, GCMed, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Palushi is an experienced general practitioner with extensive expertise in cardiology, dermatology, and skin cancer. He has been practicing for more than thirty years and is currently serving patients at HealthOne in New South Wales, Australia.
A member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), Dr. Palushi received his medical degree in 1985. He has been a cardiologist and chief advisor to the Albanian Prime Minister from 1992 until 1995, when he moved to Australia. He has been working in the Australian Heath System, both hospitals and general practice, since 1998. Dr. Palushi has gained an Advanced Post Graduate Certificate from the Skin Cancer Society of Australia, as well as Certificates in Phlebology, Advanced Life Support in Pediatrics and Obstetrics, a certificate in primary care office procedures and a Level 1 Registration for Mental Health. He also received training in the Drink-Less Intervention-Interlock Program.
In order to stay up-to-date in his field, he takes part in the majority of medical conferences and reads the Australian Family Physician (AFP), Australian Medical DOCTOR, Australian Medical Observer, Modern Medicine magazine, and whatever is available in regards to the Science of Medicine. Dr. Palushi has been given the title of the Honorary Citizen of the City of Fush-Arrez in Allbania, for his contribution in Medical field and Democracy. He was the founder of the Albanian Democratic Party – Branch of Puka and elected the first leader of this branch. He was elected as one of the Leadership member of the National Counsel of the Albanian Democratic Party. Dr. Palushi attributes his success to perseverance, keeping goals in mind, and love of working with others towards better health. In his spare time, he dedicates to music and painting.
