Le Petit ChouChou was inspired by the personal struggles of founder Jemma Jacques, whose daughter Lilah suffered from third degree burns during a terrible accident. While in hospital Jemma began to share with her daughter the life lessons derived from her travel and adventures to different parts of the world and the values of being strong and following her dreams. It motivated Jemma to actually start living her dreams too and once Lilah healed she started her own business in order to inspire her daughter for the future.

Le Petit ChouChou takes inspiration from the French nickname for my little sweet darling. The range of genuine leather footwear includes: Baby Moccasins, Baby Sandals, Baby Mary Jane shoes, Baby Oxford shoes, while the bag collection comprises of Le Diaper Purse, Le Petit Purse and Le Cow Hair Purse to match several of the shoe collections.
