Women and Manufacturing (WAM) Podcast Features Jaimie Petrow

Frances Brunelle, President of Accelerated Manufacturing Brokers and one of the hosts of the WAM (Women and Manufacturing) podcast, recently interviewed Jaimie Petrow, Director of Business Development at Accelerated Manufacturing Brokers.

Brunelle and Petrow discussed the details of buying and selling manufacturing companies, from necessary documents and information to the risks involved and the duration of transition. Petrow highlighted the importance of trust and transparency when dealing with her clients and why respecting the legacy of a company is essential, as is maintaining the relationship between buyer and seller.

When looking at a manufacturer wanting to sell, Petrow shared, “The numbers, sales, tax returns, are purely important to show the history of a company. Part of our job with telling their story and to show the potential, the path forward, and the data is a supporting point to say why you can trust us.”

The two business leaders discussed the value points and risk points involved with customer concentration, as well as some of the risk factors that might lead to declining a prospective client. Finally, Petrow shared the value of documented standard operating procedure, and touches on the due diligence process, stamina, and patience required to follow through with a transaction.
