Euphoria and constant release of summer hits by numerous artists is over and now it’s that time of the year when album drops begin excessively. We already have a few pop stars announcing them for the upcoming months and one whose name should appear on the top artists list with a new album coming out in November 3rd is Celeste Buckingham.
She is a young artist that has already built a recognizable name for herself by going through several prestigious singing competitions in Europe, becoming a finalist of a Czech Republic version of “American Idol,” winning the “Best Czech & Slovak Act” at the MTV Europe Music Awards. Celeste Buckingham is a true artist working primarily on her own growth and development and then representing her music and feelings to people that relate to it. This way of connecting with the audience that followed her work from the very first steps has brought Celeste supporters not only from Slovakia, where she grew up, but also from people around the world that saw something special in this singing soul.
After receiving the MTV EMA, she got messages of support from different public figures, including Pitbull who was at the top of his career then. Interestingly, she also received $25,000 from the Donald Trump in a crowdfunding project, which by the way, she returned during the 2016 campaign because she didn’t want to be connected to that whole political rhetoric.
Celeste surprises her fans with every new album and seems to be continuously evolving and widening her own genre. We hear that her new album is going to be somewhat different from what people already heard of her but still keeping the same recognizable characteristic that, amongst make her special. Although recognized as a pop-star, it is hard to place Celeste in a specific genre.
Her songs are mixtures of R&B, soul, hip-hop, pop, and even jazz revealing the talent that can bring about such a combination and yet keep that special uniqueness. It is about time for music lovers to hear something more than modern electric sounds and Celeste seems like an ideal candidate to bring about change!
