White Dove Uses The Power of Music to Bridge Cultural Differences

Los Angeles, CA – White Dove, the anonymous singer and songwriter, has always known that music is a powerful language we can all learn to speak and bridge cultural differences. White Dove first used her gift of song in 2009, when she was on a medical rescue mission in East Africa. A violent grenade attack killed 100 children and injured over 300 civilians, including White Dove herself. Despite her injuries, she established an emergency shelter for the children in desperate need of medical attention. As she tended their grievous injuries, she sang, and the children named her El Karawan, or “White Dove,” and it is under that name that she brings a message of hope and social change through her music.

Since then, White Dove has focused attention on her mission: to champion the children around the world who suffer at the hand of famine, poverty, human trafficking, and war. Her story of singing to the children in East Africa shows how music can transcend cultural differences and bring people together in a time of crisis.

“Music has the power to heal and unite people, regardless of cultural or linguistic differences,” White Dove says. “When I sang to those children in East Africa, we didn’t speak the same language, but the music brought us together and provided comfort in a time of unimaginable pain.”

White Dove’s debut single, “Hurts Like Hell,” speaks to struggling trauma survivors and urges them to persevere, and her second single, “My Son,” draws attention to the pain of losing a child to tragedies of life such as war and famine. Despite her anonymity, White Dove’s music is gaining traction among fans who appreciate her powerful voice and meaningful lyrics. Beyond the release of her first albums, White Dove plans to create a program where people suffering abuse anywhere in the world can receive songs created specifically to honor their stories.

White Dove’s music is a testament to the power of music to bridge cultural differences and promote social change which is especially relevant in these challenging times. For more information on White Dove and her music, visit her website at wdove.com.
