April 15, 2020 – Chino, CA – Vitajoy’s global supply chain has undergone major challenges this year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. While ensuring its global customer base continues to receive the raw materials and prefinished products that are relied upon in the natraceutical industry, the company has simultaneously been rushing urgently needed medical supplies to areas hard-hit by the corona virus.

Vitajoy’s Chinese headquarters are slowly returning to normal and staff have been working diligently to ship raw materials to clients around the world. Warehouses in Europe, while following health and safety guidelines, have managed to continue shipping supplies of raw materials to industrial and healthcare clients. Staff in the three US-based Vitajoy warehouses continue to ensure North American clients are receiving their orders, even in the hardest hit states. All staff are supplied with personal protective equipment and are following health and safety measures which are in place in each location.

“I am so grateful to our hard-working staff,” says Dan Gu, President of Vitajoy. “They continue to work diligently even though there is a great deal of uncertainly around them. Each of them knows that our clients are relying on the raw ingredients we supply to continue to manufacture essential vitamins, supplements and other health products,” Gu explains.

While Vitajoy has been working diligently to maintain its supply chains, it has also worked tirelessly to secure large quantities of personal protective equipment for healthcare practitioners in the hardest hit countries.

“When Wuhan, China was the epicentre of the pandemic, we reacted immediately to source high quality masks, face shields and coveralls for healthcare workers on the front lines as well as for our suppliers and clients. Now that the progression of the virus has eased in China, we have shifted our focus to sourcing and shipping protective equipment to frontline healthcare workers in Italy, The Netherlands, Japan and the United States. Until we all conquer this terrible virus, Vitajoy will continue to source high quality PPE and donate it to any healthcare system in need,” Gu says.

Gu is filled with pride when he discusses the effort made by his company’s employees. “I am humbled when I see the hard work our staff are putting in under very trying and difficult circumstances. They are all worrying about their own family and friends, yet they come to work everyday, ready to help ensure others receive urgently needed medical supplies. It is their determination and hard work that gives me the confidence to know that we will all get through this.
