Award-winning singer/songwriter, recording artist, author, and licensed private detective Frankie M. (Frank Conrad Musumici) announces the release of his new single, “They Call It Security,”. The release is timed to coincide with the publication of his new novel, “Changing With The Waves of Chance.”
The song is inspired by the short story “The Warehouse” from his acclaimed book “Events of an Ordinary Life.” He says it is rooted in true events from his decades-long career as a licensed private detective.
“The single is built on things I truly lived through,” says Frankie M. “As a private detective for over 40 years, I’ve seen how easily the promise of ‘security’ can cross the line into intrusion and control. With ‘They Call It Security,’ I wanted to turn those real-life tensions into a story you can both feel and sing along with.”
A Lifetime in Music: From Hoboken to Worldwide Airplay
Frankie’s musical journey began in the early 1960s in Hoboken, New Jersey. He founded The Vee Jays, Hoboken’s first rock recording band with a 45 rpm single to their name. Over the next fifty years, Frankie M. worked in the studio with a remarkable lineup of artists, including Rodney Dangerfield, Andy Kaufman, Joey Vann (The Duprees), Nick Massi (The Four Seasons), The Drifters, The Duprees, The Dells, Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge, The Elegants, and The Angels, among others.
Today, Frankie’s music is featured on radio stations in 47 countries. His catalog includes over a dozen albums and nearly 50 singles. He continues to perform along the Jersey Shore circuit, either in his one-man show or as part of a vocal duo.
