1.Vibratory Screening Principle (Core Principle)
This is the most fundamental and commonly used method.
The machine is equipped with multiple layers of screens with different mesh sizes(2-4 layers normally)
A vibration motor generates high-frequency vibrations
Seeds move and bounce across the screen surface
Separation logic:
Large particles → remain on the top screen
Qualified seeds → pass through appropriate mesh openings
Small particles/impurities → fall to the lower layers
Essence: Classification based on size
2️⃣ Air Separation Principle (Airflow Cleaning)
This method uses airflow to remove lightweight impurities.
A built-in fan generates airflow
Seeds are suspended or fall within the air stream
Lighter impurities are collected and removed by the airflow system
Separation logic:
Light impurities (empty seeds, husks, dust) → blown away
Heavier seeds → fall and are collected
Essence: Separation based on density + air resistance
3️⃣ Gravity Separation Principle
Commonly used in high-end seed processing equipment (such as gravity separators).
A combination of vibration and airflow creates a “fluidized bed”
Seeds are stratified on the deck surface
Separation logic:
Heavy and well-filled seeds → move upward or in a specific direction
Light or underdeveloped seeds → sink or are separated out
Essence: Separation based on density/specific gravity
