Directed by 14-time award winning writer/director Brian Herzlinger (My Date with Drew, Smothered by Mothers), TriCoast Worldwide is proud to present the director’s cut of musical comedy, HOW SWEET IT IS.

Written by Herzlinger alongside Jay Black (Stone Markers, Bus Driver), HOW SWEET IT ISfollows past Tony award-winning Broadway writer and producer and now alcoholic theater owner, Jack Cosmo (Joe Piscopo), who’s been down on his luck and chin deep in debt. Hoping to put together a successful musical in order to pay off his mob debt, problems begin to arise when the wise guys cast their friend, Big Mike Cicero (Paul Sorvino), in the production. Demanding a birthday “candy-holic” musical, an undercover FBI agent, Ethan (Erich Bergen) infiltrates the production in attempts to bring down Big Mike. But Ethan doesn’t expect to fall in love with Jack’s estranged daughter, Sarah (Erika Christensen).

Tied together with comedic laughs and whimsical lyrics, HOW SWEET IT IS features a star-studded cast led by two-time Primetime Emmy nominated, Joe Piscopo (Saturday Night Live, Wise Guys), 14-time award winning, Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas, Nixon, The Brooklyn Banker), Erika Christensen (Flightplan, Parenthood series) and six-time award winner, Michael Paré (The Shelter, The Lincoln Lawyer, Gone, Girl, Interrupted).
