The tireless founder and president of We Care for Humanity (WCH), H.H. Princess Maria Amor Torres (a.k.a. Traveling Princess) recently spread her humanitarian wings at the city of angels- Bangkok, capital of Thailand. The event, The Global Peace Festival 2018, organized by World Inter-Religions Council (WIRC), held last February 9, 2018 at the Suan Lum Night Bazaar Rachadapisek, was comprised of, Art for Peace, Peace Talk, Peace Parade, Peace Candle and Peace Live Concert where Amor was the chief guest and keynote speaker.

In her keynote speech, the Princess delivered: “Peace is not something you demand. Peace is what you deliver. We cannot simply go march in the street and yell “We Want Peace!”, we have to create it ourselves, from within ourselves, within our family, within our society, and to the whole humanity. Remember that Peace is not a singular word with singular meaning and responsibility. For us to have peace, we must learn how to be kind, how to love, how to be calm, polite and compassionate.”

According to Aphinita Chaichana, president of Namo Buddhaya Club (Thailand) and Founder of WIRC: “The Peace Festival is the day in which the world’s population celebrate and promote peace globally. The reason for this festival is to unite world’s council of peace and partners to create an allied network which will promote peace and end violence everywhere in the world.”
