Flamenco Guitar Celebration Tour

Renowned and award-winning guitarist; Thomas Lorenzo proudly announced dates of his upcoming concerts in Melbourne. In his next series of Concerts, to be held in Armadale, Richmond, and Melbourne, Lorenzo will be entertaining his fans with modern Spanish music.

Thomas Lorenzo, a modern Spanish guitar artist, whose music is a humble reflection of his need to create an escenario to share his love of existence with all his fans, his choice of expression leans him towards the flamenco guitar idiom with a contemporary harmonic and melodic setting. 

In his upcoming concerts, Lorenzo will be exploring new compositions and improvised slow, looped organic, ethnic textures.  The audience that attends this concerts will have the opportunity to a special treat of long-lost flamenco tradition, angel Mellado, on vocals will be performing Cañas, Alegrias, Buleria, and Tangos.

“My goal is to embark with you on a 60 minutes musical journey to refresh our hearts and souls, to feel replenished as a human being to love with joy and compassion”, said Thomas Lorenzo while talking about his motive behind the concerts. “Through my guitar and music I bring to life special emotions, to feel replenished inspired and relaxed,” he added.

About Thomas Lorenzo

Thomas Lorenzo is a Spanish modern guitar artist. He arrived in Australia with his family in 1950 and fell in love with the classical guitar of his birth country. He learned traditional flamenco songs that his family and other members of the Spanish Diaspora kept alive in Melbourne. Thomas has released five solo instrumental albums and 12 singles in contemporary Jazz, Blues, and Flamenco styles. His latest release Spanish Breeze debuted at #36 on the Top 50 JazzWeek World Music Album Charts in 2010.

The album features Grammy nominee Alphonso Johnson (Weather Report, Grateful Dead) on Bass, Walfredo Reyes (Chicago) on Drums; produced by Grammy nominee Bruce Sugar (Ringo Starr). Thomas appears an ABC Get Kracking 2017, The Frankston Cube, and 18 times at the Armadale Uniting Hall 2016-2018 in Australia.
