The World of Work Program Builds on Teacher Connections with Students to Pave a Path to the Future

There is no doubt that teachers form a special connection with their students and recognize potential within every child that steps into their classroom. What teachers love about the World of Work is that it gives them a curriculum to integrate into their daily lesson planning that helps each student see and unlock their own potential. With the World of Work, students are able to see the value and dignity in all types of employment, with their teachers leading them in that discovery.

The World of Work provides teachers with a hands-on way to help every student pave a path to gainful employment, where the focus is shifted from perfect grades to identifying the strengths, interests, and values of each child and how those relate to their future world of work. Teachers already know that all of their students are unique, learn in different ways, and have individual skills. The World of Work aids teachers in finding ways to help every child learn and reach their fullest potential with their natural abilities.

About World of Work:

The World of Work is an initiative aimed at early exposure for children to career paths. The program focuses on integrating useful, real-world skills into everyday curriculum in a way that makes it beneficial for teachers and students. Teachers are provided with the curriculum and experiences necessary to blend traditional education with skills needed in the workforce, engaging students and getting them excited about the possibilities in their future.

The World of Work curriculum uses a four level process to expose students from all grade levels to a broad range of careers and uses the RIASEC framework to support students as they explore their interests and workplace values. The World of Work empowers every child with the knowledge that their unique strengths, interests, and values are needed in the world and fosters happy kids, living in healthy relationships on a path to gainful employment.
