Staten Island, New York – The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Anthony J.G. Alastra, MD, FAANS, FACS, Neurosurgeon, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. He is a highly-trained and qualified neurosurgeon with a vast expertise inall facets of his work. Dr. Alastra has been practicing for over eleven years and is currently serving patients at Healthcare Associates in Medicine, PC, in Staten Island, New York.Furthermore, he is on staff at Richmond University Medical Center, Staten Island University Hospital – North Site, and Staten Island University – South Site.
Dr. Alastra attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, and received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1997. He then served his general surgery internship and neurology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Alastra is also fellowship-trained in interventional neuroradiology at New York University/Bellevue Hospital. To keep current in his field, he is a professional member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Society for NeuroInterventional Surgery, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the World Federation of Neurological Societies, and the New York County and Richmond County Medical Society.
Prior to medical school, Dr. Alastra completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at The Johns Hopkins University in 1992. He links his success to good instruction from leaders in his field and commitment to good patient outcomes. When he is not practicing, he enjoys attending Broadway shows and spending time at his home in the Hamptons.
