The Furry Nation starts fundraiser after owners’ home destroyed by fire

The Furry Nation, an animal training, rescue, grooming and pet supply center has announced the launch of a crowdfunding campaign on Gofundme.com to raise funds to recover from the devastating fire and a massive lawsuit against the Big Banking industry. The goal of the fundraiser is to raise $50k which will help the center to rebuild and establish themselves so that they can continue their work towards animal welfare.

Furry Nation is the brainchild of Kat and Tim, who recently suffered major financial losses because a bank inappropriately froze their accounts and then they lost their home and all their possessions to a major fire. The business has struggled through the economic climate of the past years. Unfortunately, even when they did obtain an investor, his company went bankrupt and the business started struggling again. The investor’s bank seized the store’s bank accounts and left them with nothing. The center was burdened with credit card bills, loans and pending rent which left them barely able to survive.

Since the time of its inception in 2009 in Lakewood, OH,and their second store in Brecksville, OH the center has served thousands of pet owners, training their animals, teaching proper nutrition and care and donating time, effort and gift support to local rescues. Over the years, The Furry Nation has help dozens of local rescues in their efforts to provide homes to thousands of pets.

Tim and Kat have kept their hope alive and continue making efforts to keep the pet supply store open. This has been a dream project for them and they truly love working with their customers, employees vendors and rescue groups.

Considering the popularity and success rate of the crowdfunding platforms these days, Tim and Kate have launched this fundraiser for inviting people all over to support their cause. They have also assigned a few rewards for the backers who support the campaign. Some of the rewards include handmade earrings and necklaces which are likely to be delivered by February.
