The Discovery House is pleased and honored to announce that it has earned The Joint Commission® Gold Seal of Approval® by demonstrating their continuous dedication to providing a high level of quality and safe care in the addiction treatment field. The Gold Seal of Approval® is an internationally recognized symbol of quality.
As part of the rigorous process, The Discovery House underwent several onsite surveys and reviews. The reviews monitored how well the staff; provides a safe environment for treatment, educates clients on risks and care options, protects patient rights and privacy, regularly evaluates client’s condition and progress, protects clients and staff against infection, and their ability to plan for emergency situations. Onsite observations and interviews with staff were also a part of the process.
The Joint Commission® accredits more than 20,500 organizations across the globe. They consult with doctors, nurses, as well as quality and safety experts to review the standards of treatment centers and their programs. In addition, they make recommendations for improvements.
