1. The temperature of hot rolling and cold rolling are different
Hot rolling is relative to cold rolling, cold rolling is rolling below the recrystallization temperature, and hot rolling is rolling above the recrystallization temperature.
2. The strength of hot-rolled stainless steel strip is relatively low
Hot-rolled stainless steel strip has relatively low strength, poor surface quality (oxidation/low finish), poor toughness and surface smoothness, oxide scale on the surface, and thickness difference, but the price is low, plasticity is good, soft and easy to bend and deform .
In the cold rolling process, since it is not heated and rolled at room temperature, no scale is produced. Therefore, the cold-rolled stainless steel strip has good surface quality and high dimensional accuracy. Coupled with annealing treatment, its mechanical properties and process properties are better than those of hot rolling. Thin steel strip, in many fields, the performance and organization of the product can meet some special use requirements, such as electromagnetic properties, deep drawing performance, etc., especially in the field of home appliance manufacturing, it has gradually been used to replace hot-rolled thin steel strip.

3. The price of cold-rolled stainless steel strip is more expensive
Cold-rolled stainless steel strip has good stretchability, toughness, no oxide scale on the processed surface, good quality, but more expensive, has a certain degree of work hardening, but can achieve a better yield ratio, and is used for cold-formed spring sheets and other parts ; Hot-rolled stainless steel strip has low price, poor toughness and surface flatness, oxide scale on the surface, poor thickness, good plasticity, soft and easy to bend and deform.
