California based innovator, Mark Prizmic has announced that he will be raising funds on Kickstarter to back his amazing project of an expandable staff. Known as Tectonic Hybrid, the staff expands when it experiences the force of friction and can have amazing applications. Mark’s goal is to raise the funds by crowdfunding this campaign and use them to start his own business of mass producing tectonic hybrids for the public use.
Despite the fact that it was really challenging to build the first prototype, Mark has been successful and he hopes to raise enough funds to give this creation, a formal shape in manufacturing. The goal is to raise $3500 by Friday March 31, 2017 and everyone is welcome to back this project on Kickstarter.
There are several risks that come with prolonged use of the tectonic hybrid jamming at times. The biggest one is rusting, however, Mark has been perfecting the prototype to overcome metal rust. To overcome rusting, Mark has been using chromium in some of his prototype models that has prevented the risk of rusting. The staff will have stunning applications and not only can it be used by the public for self-defense, but can also be used as an amazing walking aid for the blind.
