Tablets of Immortality by Alan Bradbury - an Urban Fantasy Book that’s set to Transport Readers into a Bewildering Urban Adventure

West Valley City, Utah – June 29, 2019 – Tablets of Immortality (LitFire 2018) is a fictional novel with many strangely exciting facets that are enticingly put together by author Alan Bradbury. The book is set in a modern urban locale with magic, vampires and werewolves. Alan is both highly creative and derived inspiration from life and genuine Egyptian mythology in writing Tablets of Immortality. Tablets takes one to locations such as the LaBrea tar pits, Universal Studios back lots and the Hollywood Hills. The genres Mr. Bradbury write in include urban fantasy, high fantasy, space opera SF, poetry (mainly comic verse), and cyberpunk SF.

Alan Bradbury’s authorship began when he told Rell: A Tale of Five Kingdoms as a bedtime story to his children – the latter got into tumultuous clamour when the story came to the end of chapter 35. That’s when he knew he had something of great substance. This was his first manuscript sale. Since then Alan has written many books – Gremlins 2050, Rescue Mission, Faerie King, Cortland: A Novel of Jesus Christ, Red Scorpions, Lost Prince Caspan, Wisdom & Whimsy: The Poetry of Roxanne Head, Squeezer Jon in the Shadows, Rell: A Tale of Five Kingdoms and Emancipator. “Tablets of Immortality” is his 11th book – the books were well received critically but sold poorly. When asked about his author influence, Alan Bradbury quipped, “Andre Norton was my favorite author while growing up.  Wilmer Shiras’ “Children of the Atom” was my favorite book.” He is also a fan of Piet Hein, Ayn Rand, William Gibson, and Alan Garner.

Describing how Tablets of Immortality stands out as a book, Alan Bradbury explained, “It gives a different take on urban fantasy than Mercedes Lackey. Everything in this fantasy is based on carefully researched actual locations and Egyptian myths. There is some violence, but no gratuitous sex, so it’s safe for younger readers as well as older.”

Alan Bradbury writes because he is full of story ideas to be shared. In writing, he seeks reader satisfaction when it’s done, and it also leaves them craving to read more; hence, eleven books publisheded. Tablets of Immortality is the 11th book with more definitely to come.
