Sweeter, a New York City-based brand activation company, partnered with Blank Street Coffee to execute an immersive summer campaign celebrating the brand’s ice cream-themed matcha offerings. The invite-only activation took place over two days in early August at Pier 45 in Hudson River Park, where guests sampled more than 2,000 Salted Pistachio Matcha Affogatos.
The activation featured a custom-built Affogato Stand fabricated by Sweeter and supported by a production food truck. This combination of static and mobile elements highlighted Sweeter’s expertise in advertising vehicles and mobile marketing tours, creating multiple points of consumer engagement in a high-traffic urban space. The stand was designed to be visually striking while supporting operational efficiency, allowing staff to prepare and distribute samples quickly.
Sweeter managed all aspects of the activation, including securing Hudson River Park Trust and production vehicle permits, staffing the site with trained brand ambassadors, coordinating on-site security, and overseeing beverage preparation. The activation relied on a battery-powered supply to reduce environmental impact and support Blank Street Coffee’s sustainability initiatives.
Guests were able to engage directly with the brand while sampling the Salted Pistachio Matcha Affogato. Sweeter oversaw all on-site logistics, including fabrication, operations, and crowd management, ensuring that every visitor received a seamless, branded experience. The activation balanced high-volume service with opportunities for meaningful consumer interaction, allowing guests to connect with the Blank Street Coffee brand in a memorable way.
Each element, from custom signage to operational setup and the production vehicle, reinforced Blank Street Coffee’s commitment to quality, creativity, and sustainability. By managing the full scope of the activation, Sweeter enabled the brand to reach an urban, brand-engaged audience while delivering a large-scale experiential campaign.
