\”Spring Into Jazz\” comes to Chicago\’s Room 43

Master Jazz Saxophonist and Music Educator, John High brings his jazz quartet to Chicago with the best of Jazz music for a “Spring Into Jazz” concert.

John High is a renowned music educator and master jazz saxophonist. John in collaboration with other makers of great jazz music is bringing the best of jazz to the people of Chicago, with the “Spring Into Jazz” concert scheduled for March 10, 2018 at Chicago’s Room 43, 8:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Jazz music is one of the oldest and most entertaining genres including saxophonist and other jaz artists. However, the popularity of jazz music seems to have lessened, a phenomenon that can be attributed to the relative lack of exposure, with many saxophonist somewhat relegated to the backside. John High is therefore bringing forth life to jazz music particularly for lovers of this genre in Chicago.

This event is billed to feature some of the best artists in the industry. “Spring Into Jazz” will not only be an avenue for jazz music lovers to listen to great music from some of the most talented acts in the industry but will also be a homecoming for John. This is so as John has not played much in Chicago since he took time out to sharpen his musical skills through continued studies and performing with musical groups around the world.

“Spring Into Jazz” is particularly organized to usher in the spring season uniquely, serenading Chicagoans with an authentic rendition of jazz expressions. The Master Saxophonist & Jazz Educator will deliver jazz music in an exquisite style that will excite, entertain, uplift and remain in the hearts of the audience for years to come. John is popular for his remarkable skills in playing alto and soprano saxophones with creativity and passion.

John High began studying music in Chicago Public Schools and continued at UW-Madison, Wisconsin where he received his B.A. in Music. He then proceeded to the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, Milwaukee, receiving his BM. in Jazz Improvisation and onto Chicago’s VanderCook College of Music receiving a Master’s of Music.

John High will be joined by Wisconsin Conservatory of Music alumni, pianist, and Hal Leonard music arranger, Ken Kosut, bassist and music composer, Don Linke, and drummer/multi-percussionist, Victor Campbell.

Guest vocalist Evaughn High, Camille Hunt, and Tina Moore will also be adding a twist to the special event. Amir “Tubad” Gray of New Orleans, Louisiana will also be featured on low brass for some very earthy, get-down jazz.

This explosive concert the first of its kind in Chicago is a must for all lovers of great music. Advanced tickets are available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/spring-into-jazz-tickets-42112078360?aff=es2
