Fruits N Rootz, a South Florida-based online retailer, has been described as the largest online retailer of tropical fruits in the United States. The online retailer has rapidly grown to over 700,000 Instagram followers and boasts of having well over 100,000 unique customers that rely on its service and claims to have successfully shipped over 150,000 packages of high-quality exotic and tropical fruits in just 3 years of operation.
In addition to its focus on ensuring a healthier living for its customers by providing access to high-quality tropical fruits, Fruits N Rootz has also expressed its commitment to serving those who are facing circumstantial structural violence. The company revealed that it donates 20% of its profits to directly support orphaned children in multiple countries including Ghana, Congo, and Jamaica.
And while purchasing a box of fruits indirectly helps children in these struggling countries, the online retailer also allows well-meaning individuals interested in making more substantial contributions to make direct donations to I Heart Africa – an international organization that supports orphanages around the continent.
Fruits N Rootz says its mission is to spread knowledge of healing and well-being through the variety of fruits and roots it offers.

Fruits N Rootz was founded by Krystal Pitt, CEO (@krystalangelique) and Chaka Clarke, CMO (known best as Chakabars). The ex-model, Krystal, ran for Ms. Jamaica Universe while in a transitional period of going plant-based. Chaka on the other hand, has been an activist supporting a variety of charitable endeavors. Krystal and Ckaka realized one of the biggest social causes that needed to be addressed were food deserts around the world, and came up with a plan to make it easier for people to access organic, non-GMO, nutrient-dense food sources, while supporting the underprivileged.
In 2018, Fruits N Rootz was born, creating a whole new market category where buyers can go online to get access to the healthy farm-to-doorstep shopping experience.
