November, 2017 – Verizon partnered with Cisco to offer its software-defined wide-area network (SD-WAN) platform to its wholesale customers. The Verizon SD-WAN is powered by Cisco Meraki, and designed to allow wholesale customers more control over internal network operations and costs. The move adds SD-WAN services to the Virtual Network Services portfolio of its Verizon Partner Solution (VPS) division. VPS is a wholesale service provider offering voice, data, and Internet products to 150 countries.
