Entrepreneurial Finance: The Art and Science of Growing Ventures, Teaches Entrepreneurs How to Make Sound Financial Business Decisions

Boston, Massachusetts – May 17, 2019 – Search Fund Accelerator (SFA), an innovative accelerator and investment fund designed for entrepreneurs who want to buy and grow small businesses, announces the publication of a new entrepreneurial finance book featuring a chapter written by SFA’s CEO and Founder, Timothy Bovard. Published by Cambridge University Press, Entrepreneurial Finance: The Art and Science of Growing Ventures provides entrepreneurs, students and early-stage investors with real-world advice, case studies, and success stories from entrepreneurship experts and academics.

Bovard wrote Chapter 14, Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (2): ‘Searchers’, based on his experience acquiring and managing businesses, running Search Fund Accelerator, and teaching entrepreneurship at INSEAD and Columbia Business School. In his chapter, Bovard shares insights on the entire Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition process from choosing a path to acquiring the business. Overall, the publication provides a comprehensive perspective on considering entrepreneurial ventures, securing funding, and managing a small but fast growing companies. He joins several authors who contributed chapters on venture capital, managing intellectual property, exiting a business, and more.

The book includes learning objectives, definitions, case studies as well as media perspectives to help readers absorb the book’s lessons. Entrepreneurial Finance was edited by Luisa Alemany, ESADE Business School, Barcelona, and Job J. Andreoli, Nyenrode Business University/New Business School. It is available for purchase in paperback through the Cambridge University Press site.
