Seacoast Press author Christy Day releases her new book Walking from Here to There: Finding My Way on El Camino

“”Walking from Here to There” by Christy Day (published by Seacoast Press, 2016)”
With the help of Seacoast Press, Christy Day has released her book to readers worldwide. The book is geared toward people interested in walking El Camino de Santiago de Compostela.

Walking from Here to There: Finding My Way on El Camino by Christy Day is an 86-page book that is equal parts reflection, factual account of the challenges and joys of the Pilgrimage, and practical advice for preparing for it and making it the best experience possible.

“Read it if you are planning to walk El Camino de Santiago de Compostela,” said author Christy Day. “Read it if you know you never will and want to know what it is like. If you like first-person accounts full of facts and reflection, you will like Walking from Here to There.”

Day also gave some back story and shared that she was originally inspired to walk El Camino by the movie, “The Way.” She had never done a Pilgrimage and what she learned from the movie piqued her interest. Later, when she went to a presentation given by American Pilgrim at her local library, she realized the Pilgrimage was doable. She spent the next year planning and dreaming. She bought her backpack and began making a pile of items to take. She also bought a guidebook.

“What I want to capture [with this book] is the magic of my journey and the discipline required to sustain a thirty-nine day Pilgrimage,” said Day. “My hope is that this book will help you reach for your stars.”
