Schneider Electric strengthens India’s role in global data center supply with new Bangalore factory

Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has inaugurated a new cooling factory in Bangalore with an investment of ₹100 crore. The factory, sprawling across approximately 6.5 acres, is set to bolster the company’s global supply chain, with 85% of its manufactured products intended for export. The facility is geared towards meeting the exponential demand for cooling solutions in the data center ecosystem both domestically and globally.The factory will focus on producing innovative cooling products and solutions, catering to data centers, telecom, and commercial and industrial applications.

“The data center industry is confronting significant challenges such as energy volatility. Our new factory is equipped to address these challenges by manufacturing efficient cooling solutions, thus supporting the creation of resilient and sustainable data center infrastructures,” said Pankaj Sharma, EVP, Secure Power Division & Data Center Business, Schneider Electric.Key products from the new facility will include the latest generation in-row cooling systems, high-efficiency chillers, and advanced air handling units such as the Primary Air Handling Unit (PAHU), Precision Air Conditioning (PAC), and FANWALL systems. These products are designed to provide targeted cooling, maximize server performance, and minimize energy consumption.Deepak Sharma, Zone President Greater India, MD & CEO of Schneider Electric India Pvt. Ltd., highlighted the factory’s contribution to India’s vision of self-reliance, “This manufacturing facility represents our commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat and is poised to meet the growing demands of the data center industry in India and globally.”
