Rhode Island is set to become the host state for the highly anticipated 2023 Go Global Awards, an annual conference honoring companies and economic development agencies at the forefront of driving economic growth through innovation, technology, and strategic initiatives. The event will take place from November 6th to 8th at the esteemed Omni Providence.

Notably, Rhode Island is the first U.S. state to host this prestigious international economic development conference since 2017, reinforcing its position as a hub of economic activity. The three-day event, co-presented by the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation and the International Trade Council, will bring together industry experts, government officials, and business leaders, fostering trade, investment, and economic growth worldwide.
The Go Global Awards program is designed to recognize outstanding achievements in international trade and facilitate organizations in attaining their foreign direct investment goals. Attendees can expect a comprehensive agenda filled with networking opportunities, thought-provoking panel discussions, pitch contests, site visits to local businesses, and engaging tourism-focused excursions. The highlight of the event will be the prestigious awards presentation, honoring businesses across various categories for their remarkable contributions.
Last year’s Go Global Awards event, held in Estonia, witnessed the participation of over 500 business leaders and received an overwhelming 8,100 award entries. Rhode Island’s selection as the host for the 2023 event stems from its recognition as the winner of the Economic Development Agency of the Year award in 2022.
