What inspired you to write The Success Guidebook?

My goal is to inspire readers to root in gratitude, navigate change, and breakthrough to achieve the success they deserve.

Today, too many of us are chasing archaic models of success. Yet, a one-size fits-all-approach is not only outdated but unworkable. Success is so much more than data, or the dollars in your bank account.

In order to step into your most authentic self, you must redefine success on your own terms. True success is reflected in the smiles that brighten our faces, the peace that settles in our hearts, the gratitude we seek in all things, and the intention and action of being our very best in each and every moment.

Here’s the secret: You don’t need a global stage to shine brilliantly. Success is within your grasp, waiting to be unleashed in every facet of your life.

With actionable insights that can be applied to daily life and work, The Success Guidebook is designed to propel you towards a future brimming with boundless opportunity.

How did your background and experience influence your writing?

When our youngest of four sons went into first grade, I decided to go back to work in the financial services industry. But, it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.

Trying to juggle my kids, job and marriage, I kept experiencing this feeling of not being able to be great at everything, feeling unsuccessful, and overwhelmed. I knew others were experiencing it too. One day, I closed my door and wrote down the words best ever me and best ever you.

In 2008, I quit my job, leaving behind an almost two-decade career in the financial services industry to open the doors to the Best Ever You. Today, Best Ever You has become a multimedia brand and platform with millions of fans and followers around the world. My experiences to that point led me to becoming the author I am today.

Even back in 3rd grade, my teacher would say to me, “Elizabeth, you’re going to be an author someday.” However, it wasn’t until my father was recovering from a series of strokes, that I began to buckle down and write books.

My first self-help book was published by Hay House and is called Percolate – Let Your Best Self Filter Through. I am also the author of the five-time award winning, bestseller: The Change Guidebook – How to Align Your Heart, Truths, and Energy to Find Success in All Areas of Your Life.

What is one message you would like readers to remember?

I would like readers to remember that consistent personal growth coupled with ongoing successful results requires leveling up in the following powerful, yet key, inner-character traits:

TRUST. Having faith in yourself by living beyond your level of trauma, and reducing or removing fear and wounds as an excuse not to trust.

OPEN-MINDEDNESS. Being open to learning as new perspectives can open up pathways to infinite opportunities, success, and peace.

ALIGNMENT. Connecting to our real self instead of our egoic self in order to authentically follow our heart, truth, and higher energy.

SELF-WORTH. Realizing that you’re enough—you always have been and always will be. Leading with an awareness of and connection to your value, intelligence, creativity, and ability to learn, in a worthy and deserving way.

TRUTH. Embracing and facing your authenticity to understand that things have happened in your life FOR you, not TO you, and being generous in sharing these lessons.

It’s finally time to overcome anything holding you back and harness the power of YOU to move forward with alignment, clarity, purpose, and incredible confidence.

It’s time to be bold, brave, and open to the concept of unlimited possibilities.

Let’s TOAST to expanding your success and capacity for growth!
