Author Jim Hansen discovered Reiki some 20 years ago while looking for a non-opiate method to treat his severe back pain after surgery failed to correct it. At the time he was highly skeptical that it would work for him, but it did. Today Reiki Master Jim and his wife Pat live in the woods of southern New Hampshire where he continues to study the spiritual side of energy healing and infrequently gives Reiki classes.
