Gifted R&B singer/songwriter, Devorah, is elated to announce the launch of her new single, Pretend, which talks about unrequited love and being attached to someone with a wandering eye.

Devorah, it would seem, was born with an innate gift for music. Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Devorah was 3 years old when she started singing and writing in the R&B genre, a testament to the incredible musical potential she was born with. ”I have been interested in this type of music since before I can remember. It’s what makes me feel something in my soul”, she said.

However, like every other endeavour in life, Devorah had to face some challenges, chief of which includes addiction, and being taken advantage of in the industry. But today, with her exemplary will and determination, Devorah overcame those challenges and has began to chart a course for herself in R&B/soul pop.

Devorah is currently working with world-class music producer, mixing engineer and Billboard Chart producer, Kevin Cho, which she describes as one of her greatest achievements so far in her career.

Devorah revealed she takes inspiration from American singer, songwriter, Christina Aguilera; Grammy Award winning artiste, H.E.R; 15-time Grammy Award-winning singer, Alicia Keys, and the legendary Chaka Khan whose career has spanned over 5 decades. Having these ultra-successful artists as role models is a pointer to the vision and aspiration of Devorah and the heights she is set to reach in the industry.

Devorah is not resting on her laurels yet. The release of ‘Pretend’ will be followed by other singles that will be coming out every month, as well as her full album soon to follow.

When she’s not in the studio making beautiful melodies, Devorah spends her free time painting, doing ice baths,  cryotherapy, martial arts and self defense. Devorah is also a Reiki Master and enjoys doing healing work, yoga, and meditation.

Devorah has a piece of advice for her fans and younger ones. ”Don’t stop, no matter who you encounter or how many times you hear no.” Devorah is an epitome of her own advice. Despite the challenges she faced earlier in her career, she persisted and with her talent and tenacity, she’s already on her way to greatness.
