Mike McGuinness, aka DJ Lempo, began his DJ-ing career in 2006, with residencies at the legendary Manchester clubs Sankey’s and Venus, as part of the Bitch Events team. Within just four years, his sensational sets saw him voted Manchester’s number-one DJ on The DJ List. A regular performer for Ministry Of Sound, Cream and The Warehouse Project, he has supported a stellar line-up of artists including Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, Snoop Dogg, Steve Aoki and Skrillex. In addition, he has also presented his own radio shows on Cheshire FM 92.5 (2010) and Manchester’s Unity Radio FM 92.8 (2012).

Lempo, the DJ…

As a DJ, Lempo’s career began in 2006 with a residency at the legendary Manchester clubs Sankey’s and Venus as part of the Bitch Events team, and in 2010 he was voted Manchester’s number-one DJ on The DJ List. Lempo, the producer…

As a producer, Lempo has six years’ worth of releases to his name, featuring collaborations with the likes of remix legends K-Klass, Dirtybird Records’ Will Clarke, Craig David producer Mark ‘Artful Dodger’ Hill, Hollyoaks actor Ashley Taylor Dawson, Nancy Sinatra and the renowned soundtrack composer Daniel Pemberton. Lempo has scored two Top 20 hits in the Music Week Club Charts (UK), plus further success in the iTunes, Beatport and Juno Download charts with multiple number one sellers – he has also received support from Danny Howard, Nick Grimshaw and Greg James with plugs on BBC Radio 1.

Lempo, in 2016…

2016 has already got off to an exciting start, with Spinnin’ Records selecting Lempo’s forthcoming release Soz as their first ‘Track of the Week’ for the new year. He has also recently been announced as winner of The Awaken Ibiza DJ Competition which will see him perform at several of the Ibizan Super-clubs during the summer. Lempo’s release schedule includes new material on Applique Music, featuring Canadian MC Flipside on his Goinout single due for release in April, followed up with the single Triumph featuring American rapper Princess Superstar available in June.
