KNOXVILLE, TN – Publicly Private is hosting “Giving Comfort,” a digital drive for the LGBTQIA+ community in Knoxville. With the recent tragic events occurring at physical events benefiting the LGBTQIA+ community, the organization has made donating safe and convenient by moving it all online. Donations are open now through December 24.
Donators can order directly from Publicly Private’s Giving Comfort wish list on Amazon and send the donations directly to the warehouse in Knoxville. Once the order is received, Publicly Private will donate the items to LGBTQIA+ individuals in need on behalf of the person who donated.
The holidays can be tough for LGBTQIA+ individuals, so the Giving Comfort wish list is curated to be warm and comforting. The goal of this campaign is to offer comfort and happiness to LGBTQIA+ individuals who may have been rejected by their families this holiday season.
“In an effort to make donating more accessible this holiday season, we decided to take it online,” said Publicly Private’s founder, Kollyn Conrad. “With Giving Comfort, both donors and recipients will be feeling the holiday cheer. Publicly Private’s mission is to move the world forward with inspiration, acceptance, and understanding by reaching under-served communities and individuals and giving strength and encouragement to ultimately shape change. Through Giving Comfort, Publicly Private hopes to be able to further its mission in the Knoxville community.
