Las Vegas, NV – March 22nd, 2016 – At this year’s NAB 2016 technology show from April 16-21, PTZOptics will be demonstrating the recently released “Second Generation” PTZ camera line up. March 22nd the PTZOptics “Gen 2” live stream was hosted hosted with YouTube Live. The video which is now available on demand at the PTZOptics YouTube Channel, uses a virtual set to demonstrate the NAB trade show display designed to demonstrate cameras integrations with: NewTek, vMix, Wirecast and Joicsater.
Paul Richards, Director of Business development produces the entire live stream with a single laptop each week using a variety of live streaming software. In this live stream Richards has created a “virtual set” promoting the upcoming NAB 2016 show booth which was designed by Grapevine Visual Concepts. “The design allows us to create a technology display with seven 1080p LCDs to display our latest USB 3.0, HD-SDI, HDMI and IP streaming cameras being used with today’s latest broadcast gear,” says Matt Davis lead engineer at PTZOptics. “We will essentially have four workstations… dual display systems for a NewTek TriCaster Mini, a dual dislpay green screen area for vMix and another dual display area for Wirecast.” Davis continues, “It’s going to be fun! We may even have some new equipment that we have yet to release… who knows…”

The above live stream was broadcast in 1080p 30fps “even though YouTube Live now supports 1080p 60fps” mentions Richards. A green screen is being used in this livestream which uses a chroma key technology to overlay the “talent” as if they were at the NAB show sitting in the trade show display! “We are so excited about NAB we just decided to create a NAB Show virtual set,” explains Director of Operations Joe Mulcahy who often helps in creating new virtual sets. “They are becoming a seasonal rotation for us with the weekly live streaming show on YouTube Live.”
