Prophet Muhammad Day – Bring New Jersey Communities Together Against Hate

Piscataway, NJ – March 1st, 2017 – This coming Sunday, March 5th, Muslims for Peace, a New Jersey-based non-profit organization, will be hosting its 10th Annual Prophet Muhammad Day at Rutgers University in Piscataway.

The event draws a diverse crowd focused on bringing communities together to celebrate one of the most influential personalities in history and his legacy of compassion, mercy, and justice.

This year’s speakers include Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), Al Jazeera journalist Mehdi Hasan, Imam Mustafa El-Amin, and Rabbi Mark Kline.

The theme of the event “Take Action: United We Stand” is a call for all people of conscience to stand together against anti-Muslim rhetoric and policies. It affords a space for people to hear insights from notable individuals, build relationships with diverse communities, and commit to a united response against hate in all forms.

Representative Gabbard said, “This event is a perfect opportunity to stand in solidarity with peace-loving Muslims around the world and to help increase understanding of the true, peaceful message of Prophet Muhammad and Islam.”
