Tanner Curtis and Josh Anderson, founders of Salt Lake City-based Poppy Products Company, have announced that they are using the Kickstarter platform to fund their Poppy Mat project. Their wives, Olivia and Courtney are expecting babies in the spring of 2018. The couples are passionate about designing products that can help solve everyday problems. The Poppy Mat falls in that league.
“We are happy to introduce the Poppy Mat, the first Pop-up, shape-holding, and collapsible changing mat of its kind,” says Tanner Curtis. “Our extensively researched and carefully developed mat is quite unlike any other baby mat available on the market. We have prototyped for over two years and now ready to bring the product to the market.”

According to Tanner Curtis, the Poppy Mat comes with a concealed wire frame that allows the mat to be opened with one hand. The mat remains flat with the surface regardless of where it is being placed. It never folds up like other mats and is hence easy to handle.
When opened the mat is 18 inches wide and 24 inches in length. When folded it measured only eight inches and hence can be carried easily in any bag. Research shows that this size is ideal for mat for a child in diapers. A major plus point of Poppy Mat is that it is completely waterproof. Any mess caused accidently can be easily cleaned without any hassle. The mat can be easily disinfected. Users can have a guaranteed clean surface when they need it.
The Poppy Mat is made of soft neoprene fabric for high level of comfort. It has a foam bonded center that provides the baby with a great cushion while the mat remains fully compact. The machine washable mat comes with a mesh pouch which makes deep cleaning of the mat easy. It can be placed in the mesh and thrown in the washing machine with other clothes and then in the dryer.

The fundraiser campaign on Kickstarter has a goal of $15,000 with the deadline of 24 November, 2017.
