April 1, 2019 – Los Angeles, CA – Vanguard Industries Inc., a Tokyo-based design and innovation firm, announces its successful fundraising for PAGES | A Colorful Adjustable Chair. The Kickstarter campaign, which ends on May, 2, 2019, reached its fundrasing goal and received ¥300,000 in donations during its first week. That money will finance the design and development of additional covers and cushions for the PAGES Chair.
Made in Japan, the PAGES Chair has a basswood and maple frame with a series of felt covers. Each cover flips like the page of a book, complementing the look and feel of a room with colors such as blue, green, teal, navy, indigo, beige, cream, crimson, and violet.
“The PAGES Chair continues to attract support from fans worldwide. That we met our fundraising goal in less than a week proves how popular our product is. The market for the PAGES Chair is diverse, ranging from design aficionados and decorators to online influencers to art collectors and curators. All of these people admire our maximalist approach to minimalism in which we combine Japanese woodworking with a modern aesthetic,” says Masahiko Yamanaka, President of Vanguard Industries Inc.
