Award-winning concert artist and music educator, Aaron Kahn has proudly announced the launch of an inspiring new classical musical project for the freedom of Ukraine called Over Darkness. This project is an outcry for the denunciation of and end to Russia’s war and the restoration of Ukraine’s freedom. This Portland-based American artist is organizing it at his contemporary Jewish artists’ residency exhibition to premiere it on June 1st, 2023. To organize this project and make it successful, Aaron is seeking help and support through a recently launched crowdfunding campaign on Gofundme, where he is welcoming generous community support and backing.
“Having played trumpet for 20 years, seven at a professional level, I am deeply committed to establishing peace in the world through my music,” said Aaron Kahn, while introducing this project to the Gofundme community. “This project is about amplifying the voice of a gifted young Ukrainian woman who has composed a piece of music in honor of her country and her people,” he added. According to Aaron, this project is all about contrasts, divisions, and a yearning for freedom, sovereignty, and unity.

About This Project
Over Darkness is an inspiring new classical music project by an American music educator and experimental trumpet player and creative entrepreneur Aaron Kahn, based out of Portland, Oregon.
