OPENAURUM GROUP DONATES TO CHARITY IN MADAGASCAR, MINISTER FROM MADAGASCAR APPLAUDS GESTURE

From the second half of 2018, OpenAurum Group has been caring for the poor families in the Republic of Madagascar. The relief operations have been uninterrupted so far, and the efforts have touched the hearts of the poor families of Madagascar, allowing them to unload their guards and accept the volunteers of the OpenAurum Group. In the past six months, OpenAurum Group has invested in various charitable activities, and its actions have been acknowledged by the new Minister of Madagascar.

Jim Warner, the chief operating officer of OpenAurum Group said that OpenAurum Group cooperated with Jinxin Mining Company in early 2018 to conduct mine exploration and mining works in Madagascar. Therefore, the Group wants to give back by contributing to the development of Madagascar’s community.

The OpenAurum Group’s charitable activities also include health care projects and participation in forest rehabilitative work.

Madagascar’s per capita income is very low. More than half of the people live on less than two dollars a day. The gap between the rich and the poor is very significant. Therefore, the OpenAurum Group is committed to understanding the needs of the poor families in Madagascar and to provide the necessary material assistance. For instance, at the beginning of January this year, 5,000 school bags were purchased and given to the local elementary school students to encourage them for their studies.

In the remote rural areas of Madagascar, most families are unable to afford medical care. As a result, many children did not receive any required vaccination, and most families continued to develop malaria, dengue fever and different types of diseases, causing serious illnesses. The locals do not have a comprehensive understanding of these diseases, with no relevant knowledge about the cause, prevention and treatment.

After the OpenAurum Group invested in the donation drive in Madagascar, it cooperated with Red Cross to set up clinics in various places. In addition, the Group recruited volunteers from all over the world to come to Madagascar to cooperate with local medical institutions. In addition, OpenAurum Group also launched various vaccination campaigns.

The Minister of home affairs in Madagascar met up with Jim Warner on 11th March 2019, to express his gratitude to the OpenAurum Group for its support and assistance to the nation for the past six months. Madagascar attaches great importance to the mining works of OpenAurum Group in Madagascar and it is willing to deepen its cooperation through personnel training, risk prevention, disaster support, and local development.
