DreamGenesys, an indie entertainment company based in the Metro-Detroit area, has announced a new crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for Cosplay Battle Opera, an exciting new mobile game with elements from Match 3 and Bejeweled strategy games.
In Cosplay Battle Opera, players take up their favorite iconic characters’ mantle and duke it out for glory in an all-new cosplay world. A strategy game, players will have the opportunity to customize their experience and immerse themselves in this cosplay world while discovering useful items to craft, new costumes to equip, and special abilities to use along the way. In time, players will also unlock upgrades and expansions for their character’s shack, closet, and costumes, and gain access to a full-feature avatar editor to customize their character’s looks for the game experience.
The core gameplay in Cosplay Battle Opera resembles that of hits like Match 3 or Bejeweled, with added and improved aesthetics to cater to the cosplay community. Instead of character clashing, animations play out with 1v1 and PvP combat in the foreground, customized for the player’s skillset. More than a place for fun, players gain exposure to pop culture references, including infamous cosplay characters, in this exciting mobile release.
In the alpha and beta versions, players will find the aforementioned features, plus a crafting system, boss battles, guild systems, finisher systems, and custom music, with the final build expected to add emotes, daily and weekly challenges, 35 iconic costumes, and so much more.
Cosplay Battle Opera will be rated E for everyone, making the game safe and fun for fans of anime, both young and old. Current Alpha and Beta releases are available for Android-powered devices, with iOS compatibility coming soon.
