Abimbola Olugbemi a.k.a Bimbylee is a singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist from Kogi State, Nigeria. Born on March 31st, 1993, the singer got signed to L.A-KEY records and came to stardom in January 2020 with his hit track titled “Vision” which received a great response from the music lovers worldwide. Bimbylee has announced the release of both anticipated singles “Vision“ and “No friend” on 14th February, Valentine’s Day.
Bimbylee’s first single “Vision” is an inspirational song talking about how this year everything will change for the better. In this song, he says that he has seen the future and had a vision that “a miracle will happen in this year that we are.” The song is sung in English and the traditional Yoruba language of Nigeria motivates and inspired to stay positive even when everything is going against us. It tells that despite the odds, the reward is worth all the effort.
The year 2020 represents the year to “double your hustle” and he will release two singles every time he releases a song. Since Valentine’s Day is a couples day, he wants to represent “Vision” as the female side of the couple for it sweet melodic sounds and “No Friend” as the male representative because it talk about some harsh reality of not being financially stable as a man.
Growing up, Bimbylee found his inspiration to make music from Nigerian singers 9ice and Asa, as well as Akon and Michael Jackson. He decided to follow his passion for music and persistently worked to improve his craft. He started writing songs in 2010 and released his debut track in 2015. The major career shift happened when he was signed by L.A-KEY Records in 2019 and he started releasing mainstream music that appealed to a global audience from Nigeria to Hollywood to Bollywood. He sends a message of Unity, Hope, Peace, and Love through his music.
