Ontario, Canada – September 8, 2021 – Real estate technology provider Web4Realty just launched “Social Testimonials”, an industry-first tool that allows agents to collect testimonials from their Zillow and social media profiles, and then publish them on their website. The “Request Testimonial” function on their website builder was also recently launched so agents can automatically request testimonials from clients and then prompt them to share these testimonials on their Google My Business profile or Facebook page.
The proportion of consumers that read online reviews for local businesses increased, from 81% in 2019 to 87% in 2020, despite the COVID-19 pandemic slowing the economy.
Another survey suggests that 72% of consumers will read a business’s online reviews before contacting them.

Why Agents Need Online Reviews on Zillow and Google
Much as agents compete with Zillow and other property platforms, they also know that their Zillow profile is an important avenue for customers to validate their legitimacy as an agent.
The same goes for Google. About 59% of consumers read Google reviews to judge a business’s credibility. Online reviews also have more weight in organic local search rankings.
Knowing this, the Request Testimonials tool includes a function that prompts an agent’s clients to share their testimonials on Google, Facebook, and Zillow.
On the flip side, with Social Testimonials agents can also republish the testimonials written on their Zillow and social media accounts so they don’t have to manually import them on their website.
For added credibility, the republished reviews on the agent’s website will be labeled with their original source (Google, Facebook, or Zillow) so readers won’t doubt its authenticity.
Real estate is a tough business. Even experienced agents receive 3-star and even 1 star reviews sometimes. The important thing, according to market studies, is to respond to these reviews properly because 89% of consumers read a company’s response to customer feedback.
Because of this, Web4realty’s new testimonial tools also includes a way to publish a template response to online reviews, whether it’s a 5 star review or a less-than-happy one.
Agents can write a detailed positive or negative response that will automatically be published alongside their client’s feedback. An agent’s potential client will see that they value customer feedback and address them accordingly.
It also saves an agent time from having to manually respond to each feedback they get online.
