About the Author
Dr. Stewart Nozette is an MIT-trained scientist and former researcher who served with NASA, the White House National Space Council, and the Departments of Energy and Defense. He is widely recognized as the architect of the groundbreaking Clementine lunar mission, the first U.S. return to the Moon since Apollo. The mission led to the discovery of ice deposits on the lunar surface and helped spark renewed international interest in lunar exploration which led to the space race of the 21st century.
Nozette’s life has been marked by extraordinary achievements and controversy.
