The global market value for windows and doors is set to surpass $260 billion by 2024, according to a report by Global Market Insights, driven by new construction in homes and businesses and the spread of “smart city” initiatives into more countries.
Casement windows, in particular, look set to enjoy above-average growth through 2021, say The Freedonia Group in their Windows and Doors Market Forecast, with homeowners said to prefer their look and style.
And with many provinces in Canada enduring double-figure sub-zero temperatures during the winter months, effective insulation also remains a priority for homeowners, especially if it can also help towards cutting energy bills.
Hometech is an Edmonton-based windows and doors company that has recognised these trends with its new Classic Collection of windows, which aim to combine structural integrity and powerful insulation with a wide range of visually appealing options for all architectural styles and colors.
“Hometech aims to cater to everyone’s needs by providing a solution for every home,” said a Hometech spokesperson. “Whether customers want something simple but stylish, or an option that is more customised, we can explore all possibilities. As standard, all our windows are strong and secure, and are manufactured for optimum energy efficiency.”
Options range from the stylish simplicity of the WC100 series of Casement Windows, which slots effortlessly into many types of home, to the WC125 series of Awning Windows that provides free circulation of air alongside strength and security.
The Classic Collection also includes a bespoke range of windows designed for newly constructed buildings, featuring tapered brickmold built into the frame that will work within any masonry opening. Many of Hometech’s windows are available in this range and the company says they have a structural superiority to most uPVC windows, courtesy of the brick mold built into the extruded vinyl.
Hometech’s spokesperson added: “While style and aesthetics are essential in any choice of windows, we are also very conscious of technical aspects such as insulation and structural integrity.
“For example, rainfall is increasing year on year because of climate change and, in a country like Canada, where we already have such extreme weather, it is vital that homeowners keep on top of new technologies and manufacturing innovations to ensure their homes are as weather-proof and energy-efficient as possible.”
