New book “The Autobiography of an Unknown Man” by John Y. Taggart is released, a personal account of the author’s career in law, humble beginnings, and experiences gained over a life well lived

“The Autobiography of an Unknown Man” by John Y. Taggart has been released worldwide. This 365-page autobiography is a slightly different take on the genre, as the author self-admits that his story is not one of celebrity or world-changing influence. Still, it is an account of a full life, lived well, packed with personal and professional experiences, ups and downs, and a reflective tone that both draws in the reader and prompts them to examine their own memories.

From his early years in rural Ohio, through college and Naval service, on through a decades-long career in law (including over 30 years as counsel for William F. Buckley), Taggart shares intimate details of his past. He may call himself unknown, but his life has been anything but boring.

Autobiography of an Unknown Man (ISBN: 9781735588070) can be purchased through retailers worldwide, including barnesandnoble.com and Amazon. The paperback retails for $14.99. Wholesale orders are available through Ingram.

About the author:

Jack Taggart was raised on an Ohio farm (located on Taggart Road), educated in Ohio public schools, including the Ohio State College of Law. After being graduated from law school he moved to New York City and was hired by White & Case, then the largest New York City law firm.

After several years he joined the United States Treasury, having first gotten a Masters of Tax Law from New York University, where he later taught for a number of years. He joined a small law firm of 16 lawyers where he spent the rest of his legal career, retiring at age 75 when the firm had 124 lawyers.
