In order to discover and cultivate talents and projects, promote new products, new technology, new industry and new business ecosystem, and integrate the resources of talents, projects, policies, incubators and venture capitals; the 2020 global 5G innovation and entrepreneurship projects online competition was held by Hangzhou Qiantang New Area Administration Committee From March 10 to April 30, 2020.
This competition will select outstanding projects by hosting online roadshow and appraising the projects. Additionally, the sponsor will provide rewards, which includes offices, development services and financing services, for selected projects.
The followings are participant Requirements. First, Each participant competes as a company or project team. Second, the industry of projects in the competition is 5G, which contains research and development, promotion and publicity of innovative application products; or contains innovative technology, innovative product or innovative business mode of video application. Third, Each participant has independent intellectual property right, or master the core technology which is advanced internationally or filled industry gaps domestically. Moreover, the technology has excellent prospect for industrialization without any property right disputes.
Competition Process includes Online collection and Online Competition. In the online collection stage, participant should submit the registration information to sponsor by email from March 10 to March 31, 2020. Then, the Committee will organize a team of 3 to 5 professors for selecting top 20 projects to participate online competition between April 1 and 10, 2020. Online competition is from April 11 to April 20, 2020.
This competition adopts the form of live video speech. The sequence of participants is determined by WeChat mini-programme. Each participant will have 6 minutes to present project. The judges will score each participant according to five aspects of market, innovation, growth, founder’s characteristics and industry prospects. Finally, sponsor will select the top eight participants according to the score ranking.
The top eight participants will get the prizes of tutorial of entrepreneurial master and the following awards after landing Qiantang New Area. The first prize includes the funding of 800,000 – 1,000,000 CNY, the rent subsidy of 200,000 CNY, Angel Fund and Industry Fund, and qualified talents can receive up to 10 million CNY credits. The second prize includes the funding of 300,000 – 500,000 CNY, the rent subsidy of 200,000 CNY, Angel Fund and Industry Fund, and qualified talents can receive up to 10 million CNY credits. The third prize includes the funding of 200,000 CNY, the rent subsidy of 200,000 CNY, Angel Fund and Industry Fund, and qualified talents can receive up to 10 million CNY credits.
The qualified projects can receive up to 10 million financial support, up to 1000 m2 workplace rental subsidy and interest subsidy up to 10 million bank loan after project review. Those enterprises who obtain financing or make significant development would enjoy another up to 10 million development fund.
The result of competition will be published on platform from 21/04/2020 to 23/04/2020. The committee will award the electronic certificates and incentives to the winners by online broadcasting.
In April 2019, the Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government approved the establishment of Hangzhou Qiantang New Area, whose scope includes the original Hangzhou Dajiangdong Industrial Cluster and Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Area. The new area implements a management system structure of “one platform, one main body, one set of teams, and multiple brands”. The name of “Hangzhou Dajiangdong Industrial Cluster” was canceled but the name of “Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Area”, “Hangzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone” and “Linjiang High-tech Industrial Development Zone” was reserved.
The new area has the largest higher education park in Zhejiang province, a resident population of 1.06 million and a planned total area of 531.7 square kilometers. The new area realized a regional GDP of 100.8 billion yuan, a total fiscal revenue of 22.2 billion yuan, and a total industrial output value of 292.5 billion yuan in 2018.
The new area has formed leading industries such as life and health, automobiles and parts, aerospace, digital economy and intelligent manufacturing, new materials, and gathered a number of high-quality leading enterprises. We are making efforts to build a world-class intelligent manufacturing industry cluster and life health industry highland, Yangtze River Delta regional production and development integration demonstration zone, the province’s landmark strategic reform and opening platform, Hangzhou Bay digital economy and high-end manufacturing integration innovation development demonstration zone.
This competition is co-organized by Hangzhou Qiantang New Area Mass Innovation & Entrepreneurship Town Service Centre and Hangzhou Fenghui Liuheqiao Venture Science & Yechnology Co., Ltd.. Mass Innovation & Entrepreneurship Town is located in the core area of “Nation’s Second Batch of Mass Innovation & Entrepreneurship Demonstration Base” in Hangzhou Qiantang New Area.
