Bishop Stephen Rotluanga is a 66-year-old kind hearted individual who has sacrificed his life for the betterment of others. He is very down to earth and takes every chance to help the needy. He has been the serving as a Bishop in Aizawl. He was appointed a Priest in the agregation of holy cross in the year 1981. In 2001 he was appointed as a Bishop of Aizawl. He has also served as Director of Art and Communications at Holy Cross School in Agartala, Tripura. He is currently designated as the Chairman of North East Laity Commission.
Mizoram and other north-eastern states have tropical and sub-tropical climate. During the Rainy season, open sewers, sewage and manholes and puddles serve as good breeding grounds for female Anopheles mosquito. Female anopheles mosquito causes malaria. Apparently, even after a lot of control on environmental situations there have been many instances of fever and death reported over the last decade and Malaria continues to be a major health problem.
NeoDocto foundation has taken up an initiative to eradicate Malaria. Mr. Madhukar met with the Bishop Stephen Rotluanga Aizawl, Mizoram to take this thought one step higher. Mr. Madhukar in his assignation with the Bishop discussed NeoDocto’s vision to eliminate Malaria and its impact. He also spoke about how health technology can prevent and reduce the mortality caused by Malaria. He presented his ideas on how the digital healthcare platform can bring a change in the epidemiological statistics and how it can prevent many lives thus making this world a better place.
